Last year our family lost the love of our lives.
A beautiful old Labrador called Artie (or Arthur, if he was in trouble!)
He was there for us morning, noon and night, with quiet understanding and endless love.
More precious than gold, more valuable than we knew, until we had to say goodbye.
Artie’s last years were possibly the loveliest of all. We were fortunate to meet Amanda Whelan, whose wisdom guided us through the care of our beloved old boy. After our first meeting with Amanda, we knew that she would become an important person in the care of our family’s senior statesman. Through her regular household visits, providing physical therapy and love for Artie, we grew to understand what a privilege it is to nurture an older dog through his last years. What a gift Amanda was to our whole family, not just Artie. We loved watching her work on Artie’s tired old limbs as she tenderly massaged him. They shared a quiet communication around his pain through a raised head or a nudge with his wet nose to her hands. It was a kind of magic between them both and we found ourselves without the need to be anywhere else or doing anything more important than watching this beautiful transaction between dog and therapist. For anyone considering this treatment for their own animal, please know that no-one will take more care and attend more skilfully to your elderly pet than Amanda.
When Artie passed away last month, we were bereft. Amanda became our therapist then as she supported us along our grief journey. Ours was a shared love of Artie and we couldn’t have been more clearly understood in our time of need than with Amanda’s messages of care and concern for our family. Thank you for everything Amanda, we are indebted to you for all that you have shared with us over Artie’s twilight years. Your work is so important to those whom you meet and work with. On behalf of Artie and his family, thank you – may you continue to bless the lives of all those who have the privilege of your company in the care of their animals.

We are so glad we have met Amanda and Paw Prints Animal Therapies, absolute lifesaver. We have a 10 year old Labrador with bad arthritis and a 7 year old Staffy who has had ACL surgery and is 6 months into his recovery. With the combined massage therapy and beach visits for water therapy, both our dogs have improved immensely! Locky our Labrador who has arthritis always acts like a crazy puppy with lots of energy and movements after his massage treatments and absolutely loves Amanda, along with her belly rubs and chicken treats. Dozer our Staffy has also come on in leaps and bounds after surgery with the combined massage therapy and water therapy treatments. Thank you so much Amanda for everything you have done and continue to do for our dogs therapy wise, we'd be lost without you. P.S guys, Amanda is also a pet photographer and does amazing photos 🙌❤🐶

Amanda has been working her magic with my 2 dogs for the past few months. I have an 8 y.o. Cattle Dog and a 4 y.o. Stumpy Tail - the younger one, took a couple of sessions to allow Amanda to work on her, they are BFFs now!!! Both girls have benefited from their regular myotherapy treatments, most notably, increased flexibility, calmer dispositions and reduced stiffness. Amanda has the patience of a saint and a calmness that the dogs respond to, allowing them to relax into their treatments. I would definitely recommend Amanda to any pet owner, as she is passionate, knowledgeable and competent in her chosen career path.

Amanda has been treating Holly, my 13 year old Bearded Collie girl for a few months now and the improvement in her has been significant. After each of Amanda's treatments, Holly has more flexibility and seems to be more comfortable. During the first couple of treatments, Holly was reluctant to relax as she had quite a bit of stiffness but now relaxes into her treatments every time and enjoys Amanda's treatment. I would thoroughly recommend Amanda to any pet owner, especially those with ageing pets. I am very grateful to have found Amanda.

Amanda was so intuitive with my greyhound. Rosie instantly relaxed and then the next day was more energetic and playful. I could tell it made her feel great!!

Hi Amanda, We just wanted to thank you so much for all your wonderful help with Sebastian. After the weekly massages his arthritic legs are much improved, and he is more relaxed and happy. Thanks Amanda and best wishes from Kerrie and Paul.
Amanda really helped my dog Frankie with her recovery from patella subluxation surgery with massage and exercise therapy. I was starting to think she would never fully recover but she is now back to normal. Thank you for helping me to get my dog back.

Amanda works with what your pooch needs not a set routine. They may walk away for a minute but it is amazing to watch them go back to her and put that bit that hurts in her hands for the treatment. My 2 yr old Lab with hip dysplasia benefits from the maintenance massages we have been doing. It allows him to continue being a young lab.

Hannah is a 9 year old Labrador with severe arthritis in her left elbow. She started Myofunctional Therapy about 10 months ago, straight after diagnosis. The treatments she receives from Amanda are amazing. Hannah is no longer limping and is very excited when it is "Massage Day". She acts like a younger version of herself after each treatment. Without these treatments, Hannah would not be living her best years as a senior dog pain free. I would highly recommend Paw Prints Animal Therapies.
