The list is endless of scenarios where Canine Massage would be a beneficial treatment
Whilst Canine Myofunctional Therapy (Canine Massage) is a very safe effective treatment option in the treatment of injury and environmental disease, there are certain circumstances when it may be contraindicated due to a variety of health conditions. As a qualified therapist, your dogs health and wellbeing is my primary concern and as such I take contraindications extremely seriously and will discuss any issues with you prior to treatment.
What is Laser Therapy and how can it help my pet?
Laser therapy (“photobiomodulation”), is a non-invasive and fast-acting treatment that is tolerated really well by most dogs and is essentially side effect free!
It works on the principle of light energy reaching target tissues (joints and muscles in the case of arthritis) and decreasing inflammation and pain.
This treatment may be used alone or in conjunction with other treatment options such as Myofunctional therapy and is a great addition to an arthritis treatment plan.
It can also accelerate healing in damaged tissue, making it a great option post surgery.
